All About Me | My name is Jill Swank, I own So Swank Photography. I am the eye behind the camera. I fell in love with photography in high school. I loved going through old photos and creating scrapbooks. My senior year I bought my own digital camera. My passion skyrocketed. I got my first SLR camera in 2008. I went to Paris, France with a D60 in 2009 and came home with over 1400 pictures! I started talking to friends and family about how much I loved being behind the camera. A few asked me if I would be interested in taking family and senior photos. The response was so great that I had others asking me to do photography sessions for them. Thus, So Swank Photography was born. My first year succeded my expectations of more then double the goal number of  sessions I had hoped for.

I am an optimistic person, who is filled with creativity. I usually have more than one project going on at a time. My passions include photography, cooking, shoes, crocheting. A perfect day would involve sleeping in, wandering around Anthropologie and Barnes & Noble, lunch at Chipolte, followed by dinner at PF Changs and a movie. I have 2 fur-babies: Bentley and Lotus (dachshunds) that make up my life. You'd laugh if you saw how they become my shadows while I am at home working on projects. I usually post some fun photos of them every few months.

My Style | Is modern, real, creative, vintage, colorful and filled with fun. My website gallery is filled with real emotions, not staged poses. When shooting I direct rather than pose to bring out their personality in each photograph. I love to capture the moments in between, they are often my favorites.
